New York weekend

There is a very special place in my heart for New York City. Several times I have actually found myself thinking of moving there. I’ve heard many people say that it is a very lonely place, that is is the “city that never sleeps.” That may very well be true, but I think perhaps my vision is blurred by my limited visits to the concrete jungle and the wonderful l memories I made on every single trip. I discovered one of my favorite restaurants in New York. I celebrated one of my best friend’s 21st birthday in New York. I had experiences of a lifetime in New York. Actually, I think that quite possibly one of my favorite memories in the world was the weekend when my mother took me to New York City as a Christmas present. We saw one of my favorite bands play at Madison Square Garden, went to the top of the Empire State Building, saw the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and one evening, I bundled up and went walking down Fifth Avenue to see all the stores decorated for Christmas. Maybe I’ll put those pictures up on here another time…
Last weekend, I went back to New York with three of my best friends and, needless to say, had yet another amazing time. We spent most of Saturday walking anywhere and everywhere we wanted: Washington Square Park, SoHo, Wall Street….it was a simple day, but it was still amazing. We went to places I’d been to before and loved, and we explored new ones, making more memories as we went along. Sunday came much too quickly and as I was sitting on the bus ride home, sad to be leaving, I stored the weekend into the filing cabinet of New York memories in my head.
Below are some of my favorite pictures from the trip. Most of these photos, or variations of them, are posted on my Instagram. You can follow me there, (instagram.com/giuliastav), and see more pictures from the trip if you feel so inclined.
